Resident Profile: Who we Serve

Understanding the level of care your loved one needs helps you decide on the appropriate care facility.
While we are not a nursing home, we offer many of the same services and save you money every month. We encourage our residents to do as much as possible for themselves; however, our caring staff is available to provide as much assistance as needed.

Levels of Service
The level of service for your loved one is determined by a State required initial assessment. This assessment tool provides important information which then becomes our Plan of Care tailored to each resident’s needs.

Assisted Care
We offer services from oversight and minimal assistance with Activities of Daily Living, ADL’s, (mobility, dressing, bathing and grooming, medication assistance, toileting, housekeeping, etc.) to our residents who are at the Assisted Care Level of need.
  • Our professional staff is on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assure help is available any time of the day or night, with a low resident to staff ratio. State qualified in-house staff is available for medication administration duties, as needed, for each resident.
  • An in-house emergency-call system is in place for special needs.
  • Three nutritious meals and snacks are provided daily, and an occasional escort to the dining room is available.
  • Activities are provided by our Activities Director Monday through Friday, with weekend staff providing socialization activities Saturday and Sunday.
  • Weekly housekeeping, laundry services, and linen changes are provided for all our Assisted Care residents. Supplies for self-managed incontinence are available. In-house records are maintained for all our residents on a daily basis by staff members; including but not limited to, daily functioning, medications, and special needs.
Intermediate Care
This includes all the services provided to our Assisted Care residents, plus the services listed below. Intermediate Care is similar to nursing home care for residents needing a greater level of assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs . . . see above), but without significant nursing requirements, such as IV’s, injections, respirators and feeding tubes.
  • We provide services to individuals who are incontinent of bladder and/or bowel, are unable to walk/walk unassisted, and need moderate-to-total assistance with ADLs. We can provide medication administration by our State qualified staff 24 hours a day.
  • We provide unlimited absorbency garments/materials such as Depends, Attends, Chux pads, etc. Residents who are unable to feed themselves are given 1:1 assistance with food puree services available, as needed. As always, we go out of our way to ensure the dignity and privacy of those whose independence is compromised.
  • We provide 24-hour supportive assistance for unscheduled needs; significant dressing, bathing, grooming assistance; ambulation/mobility assistance—up to a one person assist including the use of our electronic lift for those who cannot walk or transfer on their own; and access to Physical and Occupational Therapies, Home Health Nursing Staff, and Hospice Services are available, both in-house and in the community.
  • Our staff is trained to provide services to those residents experiencing Alzheimer’s or other dementia or cognitive related impairment. While we are not licensed to care for any resident who is a danger to self or others, or those who elope (wander) from our facility, we are able to provide a safe nurturing environment to those who have memory/cognitive issues from mild to severe.
  • Transportation and/or escort to doctor and/or other appointments is available by special arrangement.
